I'm a Backend Engineer who came up through QA

I have worked in software for over 7 years: two as a QA engineer testing a jewellery ERP, and the rest as a developer at Propelld, where I build lending systems for NBFCs in Node.js and TypeScript. Starting in QA taught me to think about how a system fails before I think about how it works, and that still shapes how I design and test.

What I Work On

Lender Integrations

I connect a lending platform to NBFC lending partners: loan booking, disbursal, co-lending arrangements and the status callbacks that keep both sides in agreement about every loan.

Loan Servicing

Repayment schedules, EMI payment marking, part-payments, pre-closure and settlement. This is the part of lending where a wrong number becomes a customer complaint, so correctness and reconciliation come first.

Onboarding & KYC

Video KYC and document verification flows, and the operational tooling that lets an ops team process applications without an engineer in the loop.

Service Migration

Moving a production integration service onto a new codebase, one lender and one flow at a time, without interrupting live disbursals.

Production Support

Root-cause analysis from logs and data, runbooks for recurring issues, and staged releases across multiple services, verified pod by pod.

AI-Assisted Engineering

I build agent harnesses around LLMs: scheduled loops, enumerated permissions, checkpointed state, and held-out evals that measure whether a prompt change helped.

  • Designed and implemented the loan management system for Edgro NBFC, which supported ₹10+ crore of loan applications in its first year
  • Onboarded 3+ NBFC lending partners, which together carry over 80% of the company's monthly disbursement
  • Worked on the decision engine that cut manual credit processing and brought full disbursal to within one hour
  • Led the design and implementation of a microservices architecture for core components, deployed on Kubernetes

Epic Refiner - AI Delivery Across 80+ Microservices

Built for my current work at Propelld: a structured Claude Code workflow that takes an epic to PR-ready code across the company's 80+ microservices. Six phases, each gated by human approval: find the affected services, read their code patterns, weigh architecture options, record decisions as ADRs, write the implementation guide, then generate test-driven code. Parallel agents cut token use from about 75,000 to 15,000 per epic. Six months on, the whole tech team works out of it, new joiners start with it, and it also debugs production issues with read-only access to logs and databases.
